Sometimes very sunny, sometimes stormy, sometimes normal, sometimes completely dark out and sometimes broad daylight. It would be interesting to find out that the time of day has a meaning. That is reveals something about the dream content or reveals you're close to waking up because of lack of clarity or something. A fair number of my dreams take place at night, when it's dark out, with a nighttime atmosphere, but are not necessarily nightmarish. I make sure to record whether it's day/night in my dream journal when it happens.
